Supporting overwhelmed women and mums of teenagers to find their way back to themselves — through nervous system support, clinical nutrition and deeply personalised coaching.
Drawing on 25+ years in high-responsibility professional roles, lived experience navigating family mental health challenges, and formal training in clinical nutrition and women's hormone health — I help you understand what's actually driving your exhaustion, stabilise your energy and rebuild the capacity to feel calm, present and in control again.
This isn't about removing the pressure. The pressure isn't going anywhere.
It's about learning to work with your biology — not against it — so you can show up for the people who need you without losing yourself in the process.
For the woman who holds everything together and is exhausted from doing it alone.
I help high-achieving woman create sustainable habits and systems to support success in career, parenting and wellbeing.
Through lived experience of supporting my teenager through depression, training in nutritionxand women’s hormone health and 25 + years as a professional, I help you manage energy, recalibrate capacity and lead yourself with clarity.
This isn’t about eliminating pressure. That is not realistic. It’s about supporting you to lead yourself through the pressure.
The pressure didn’t stop. Your capacity did. Let’s rebuild it - properly.
You May Recognise Yourself:
You're the one who holds everything together — and the one nobody thinks to check in on
You're exhausted in a way that sleep doesn't seem to touch anymore
You snap over small things and then lie awake replaying it, adding it quietly to the list of evidence that you're not coping as well as you should be
You've been saying "fine thanks" for so long you can't remember the last time you told someone how you're actually doing
You've read the books, you know the tools, you understand what you should be doing — and still something isn't shifting
You can feel yourself disappearing into everyone else's needs — and you don't quite know how to find your way back
When your capacity shifts, but expectations don’t.
You're living through one of the most demanding seasons a woman can face — and almost nobody names it as that.
You're parenting teenagers who need your emotional presence at the exact moment your own reserves are running low. You're navigating a career at its highest pressure point. You're managing a household, relationships, possibly ageing parents, your own health — and somewhere underneath all of it, your biology is shifting in ways that affect everything: your sleep, your mood, your stress tolerance, your sense of self.
The expectations placed on you haven't changed. But your capacity to absorb them quietly has.
And because this season was supposed to be easier — because you've always been capable, always managed, always found a way — the cost goes unseen. Even by you.
This isn't a motivation problem. It isn't a resilience problem.
It's a demanding life stage that requires a completely different kind of support. One that understands the full weight of what you're carrying — not just the visible parts.
You do not need motivation or to push harder.
You need structure, clarity and to trust yourself again.
My approach
When you're carrying this much, willpower isn't the answer. Neither is pushing harder or finding more motivation.
What you actually need is someone who understands what's happening in your body, your nervous system and your life — and who can help you build a way through it that doesn't require you to be a different person.
I work at the intersection of clinical nutrition, nervous system support and deeply personalised coaching. Not generic plans. Not advice you've already read. A framework built entirely around you — your biology, your season, your life.
THE PRINCIPLES THAT GUIDE MY WORK:
-
Most women in this season are so busy managing the load that they've never stopped to fully see it. Until you name the full weight of what you're carrying — the visible and the invisible — you can't begin to change it. We start here. Always
-
The exhaustion, the reactivity, the brain fog, the feeling that you're running on empty no matter how much you rest — these aren't signs that you're failing. They're signs that your nervous system has been absorbing too much for too long. We work with your biology, not against it
-
Calm isn't a feeling you wait for. It's something you build — through the right foundations, the right boundaries and systems that actually fit your real life. Not another thing to add to your list. A framework that holds you.
-
It feels like finally being able to tell the truth.
Not the "fine thanks" version. The real version — about how exhausted you actually are, how long you've been last on your own list, how much you've been holding that nobody around you fully sees.
And being met there by someone who doesn't flinch. Who has sat in that same place herself. Who asks the questions nobody else has thought to ask.
It feels like something shifting.
Not overnight. But steadily. Session by session, you start to understand what's actually been driving the exhaustion. You start to feel the difference between surviving and actually living. You start to recognise yourself again.
Women I work with often say they wish they'd done it sooner.
Not because it's magic — but because finally having someone in your corner who truly gets it changes everything.
Ways to Work Together:
-
An 8-week 1:1 programme for midlife women and mums of teenagers who feel like they've lost themselves under the emotional load — and want to feel grounded, clear and like themselves again.
There was a version of you — before the emotional load, before the constant decision-making, before you became the default parent, the emotional anchor, the one who holds everything together — who felt like herself.
She had space in her mind. She had energy that wasn't running on adrenaline. She had a sense of who she was outside of everyone else's needs.
She's still there. She's just buried under a season of life that no one prepared you for.
Back to Herself™ is where you find her again.
HOW IT WORKS
We begin with a deep-dive session to uncover what's really driving the disconnection — the identity shifts, the emotional load, the hormonal changes, the invisible responsibilities, the patterns that have quietly been running your life.
Then over 8 weeks, we work through six personalised 1:1 sessions — weekly for the first month, then fortnightly — rebuilding your clarity, your energy and your sense of self in a way that fits your real life.
No generic advice. No surface-level fixes. No "just take more time for yourself."
Just deeply personalised support from someone who has lived this season herself — and knows what it actually takes to come back from it.
BY THE END OF BACK TO HERSELF™ YOU WILL:
✔ Understand why you lost yourself — and know how to come back
✔ Feel lighter, clearer and less emotionally overloaded
✔ Have boundaries that protect your energy and your identity
✔ Feel calmer and less reactive in the moments that matter most
✔ Have a nervous system that isn't constantly bracing
✔ Have a sustainable way of living that doesn't require you to disappear
✔ Feel like yourself again — grounded, steady and whole

THE FIRST STEP IS A CONVERSATION
Back to Herself™ begins with a free 20-minute connection call — just us talking. No pressure, no obligation, no agenda.
Just a chance for you to share what's going on, and for me to understand whether this programme is the right fit for where you are right now.
If it is — we begin.
If it isn't — I'll tell you honestly and point you toward what might help.
You've been last on your own list for long enough.
-
Bringing an honest conversation into the room.
Some of the most important things women in midlife are carrying have never been named out loud in a professional or community setting.
The invisible load. The emotional labour of parenting teenagers. The hormonal shifts nobody warned them about. The quiet erosion of energy, identity and self-trust that happens when pressure compounds and support doesn't.
I speak to organisations, schools and communities on the topics that sit at the intersection of women's wellbeing, midlife and sustainable performance — because when these conversations happen in a room, something shifts for every woman in it.
---
SPEAKING TOPICS INCLUDE
• The invisible load — naming what women carry and why it matters for performance and wellbeing
• Parenting teenagers while holding everything else — the emotional cost nobody talks about
• When your biology shifts but the expectations don't — perimenopause, energy and the midlife performance gap
• High functioning is not the same as well — recognising depletion before it becomes crisis
• Back to herself — rebuilding capacity, identity and steadiness in the most demanding season of life
---
WHAT PEOPLE LEAVE WITH
Not just inspiration — language.
The ability to name what they've been carrying. Permission to take it seriously. And practical tools they can use immediately to begin shifting it.
These sessions are grounded in lived experience, clinical nutrition and nervous system science — which means they resonate not just emotionally, but practically.
The conversations don't end when the room empties.

TO ENQUIRE ABOUT SPEAKING
If you're looking for a speaker who will meet your audience where they actually are — not where they're supposed to be — I'd love to hear from you.
About Rachel
I know what it feels like to hold everything together while quietly falling apart inside.
I'm Rachel Agnew — Clinical Nutritionist, Coach and Speaker. I work with exhausted women and mums of teenagers who have lost themselves under the weight of everything they carry — and who are ready to find their way back.
For over 25 years I worked in senior advisory and analytical roles in the agribusiness sector — complex, high-responsibility environments where clarity, sound judgement and performance under pressure were non-negotiable. At the same time I was raising three children, managing a household and being the emotional anchor for everyone around me.
I know this season from the inside. Not from a textbook.
The catalyst for this work was my daughter. During her teenage years she went through a period of severe depression — withdrawing from school, from life, from everything that had defined her. I spent months watching her disappear, trying to fix it, trying to find answers, trying to keep everything else functioning around us.
YOU'VE BEEN LAST ON YOUR OWN LIST FOR LONG ENOUGH.
If something on this page has landed — if you've found yourself nodding, or felt something shift as you read — that recognition matters.
It means part of you already knows it's time.
The next step is simply a conversation. A free 20-minute connection call where you can share what's going on, ask anything you need to, and get a feel for whether working together is the right fit for you.
No pressure. No obligation. No performance required.
Just you, as you are, talking to someone who genuinely gets it.
I'd love to meet you there.
